Right now we're in the middle of a historic rewrite of these core systems to make MongoDB an even better fit for the emerging time series and data analytics spaces. We are responsible for the aggregation framework, which allows arbitrary transformation of query results before they are passed back to the client we build MongoDB's real-time "change stream" event notification system we write the distributed code that targets and merges queries across a MongoDB sharded cluster. We manage the MongoDB Query Language and the lifecycle of each query, from parsing user requests to generating and executing optimized query plans for lightning-fast data retrieval.
